Exey Lee McDowell, also known in later years as "Mother Mac" was mother to Clifford Tyrus McDowell. Clifford was (biological) father to my mother, Colleen Dabbs. I never knew my grandfather, Clifford, nor his mother, Exey Lee. I have often wonder who Exey Lee's husband was and simply listed him as "unknown McDowell." I finally have a picture of him and STILL do not know his name!
