'IvbiH?
One male, the legendary hero known as pach had unexplained knowledge imprinted within his mind. This knowledge was of the great obelisk - identical to the one in the southern hemisphere. The obelisk served as a planetary defense system to repel the numerous meteorites found in that sector of space. pach became the leader of the enclave and eventually took a consort whose name was maS. Together they ruled the enclave unchallenged due to pach's implanted knowledge of the obelisk. This knowledge was passed from generation to generation, during which time the enclave's number grew steadily. Eventually, due to their increased population, the je'laH began to form into separate groups; thus were born the Thelds of je'laH. Central among the Thelds was the Theld jubchuQun, which was comprised mostly of the decendant's of pach and maS, and their loyal followers who were traditionally "adopted" into the family. It became traditional that when adopted into the Theld jubchuQun, to take the name of the Theld's forebears. Therefore names of all men in Theld jubchuQun include the name "pach" and all women "maS". Due to their isolation from the Empire, the je'laH developed a different culture. One of the most notable to our military personnel is the somewhat radical use of titles. In our Imperial Klingon Military system, such terms as epetaI, veStaI, SutaI, taI, and so on, are military titles indicating rank. However, for the je'laH, who for generations had no military, these terms took new meanings; epetaI became the male head of Theld, vestaI the female head of Theld. SutaI was a title used for all other Theld members who had gone through the rites of adoption. Members of the Theld who were not formally adopted could only use the short prefix vo' meaning "belonging to". In modern times, the internal ranks have changed of the Theld of jubchuQun has changed slightly from the old ways. The titles of epetaI and veStaI are still the male and female heads of the Theld. However SutaI has changed to reflect a female position equivalent to nobility (i.e., “Duchess” or “Barroness” in Terran terms); whereas the title of zantaI, never used by the jubchuQun of old, has come to represent the male counter part of SutaI (i.e., “Duke” or “Baron”). The title of “taI” is bestowed upon any others who have been accepted into the House of jubchuQun. That title is retained for one Terran year before changing to SutaI or zantaI. The use of the title “vo-” is used by any who seek acceptance into the House of jubchuQun, but who have not as yet been formally recognized. It has been nearly 100 years since the Empire sent emissaries to the je'laH and began to reintegrate them into the Empire. There are still some cultural barriers. One example of how these cultural differences can be awkward, was when a certain male officer of the IKV Rac 'Tov SIch was presented using his proper military honorific of "vestaI". This caused some snickers of amusement among the jubchuQunpu' present, since this was strictly an honorific used by women among the je'laH. Conversely, the military officers were quite insulted and outraged by the jubchuQunpu' using such high military honorifics as "epetaI" and "vestaI" when they had practically no military rank! In an effort to bridge these barriers, the epetaI and veStaI of the Theld jubchuQun went to serve aboard the IKV Rac 'Tov SIch, which at that time was flagship of the KLAW Fourth Fleet. It became strict policy that the jubchuQunpu' never use Theld honorifics in an official military capacity. Therefore, when ever a military rank is used (i.e., Lieutenant or Captain) the appropriate military honorific is use in accompanyment. However, when dealing with civilian or Theld/House matters, the proper Theld honorific is used.

The home world of the Theld of jubchuQun. The meaning of je'laH is not certain. Some scholars believe it to mean "highly capable", but this is mostly conjecture. In modern Klingon, the word je’laH mean “the ability to purchase” ... but this is just cooincidence. More likely is that the word is derived from che’laH meaning “the ability to rule or reign.” This might might be in reference to the the planet having been suceptible to Klingon rule.
Pronounced “paach” Meaning “claw”. All jubchuQun men customarily have “pach” in their name.
Pronounced “maash” Meaning moon. All jubchuQun women customarily have “maS” in their name.
Literally translated as "Immortal Nobility" The theld of jubchuQun was created and officially registered on October 12, 1992 by Marita (Haack) Ellixson and Bradford Lee Lewis. They were at that time, members of KLAW (Klingon Legion of Assault Warriors).
MALE Head of the House (or Theld) of jubchuQun. FEMALE Head of the House (or Theld) of jubchuQun. FEMALE Noble of the House (or Theld) of jubchuQun. MALE Noble of the House (or Theld) of jubchuQun. One who is formally accepted into the House (or Theld) of jubchuQun, but has not been so accepted for one Terran year. One who is informally accepted or is seeking admission into the House (or Theld) of jubchuQun. For many years, the IKV Rac Tov’SIch was the flag ship of the Klingon Legion of Assault Warriors, an elite group of the Emperor’s Naval Armada. After a political upheaval, the Rac Tov’SIch was decommissioned (some say destroyed) and was replaced by two ships. Both of these two new ships vied for the position of “flagship.” The IKV Fek’lhr’s Hoof eventually took the position, while the IKV qulro’ left KLAW and became quasi-renegade. Unfortunately for the Klingon Legion of Assault Warriors, a large number of the departing crew were jubchuQunpu’! Today, both factions serve the Empire with honor and loyalty.
