In this position my responsibilities entailed providing support for the third largest medical school and hospital complexes in the United States. I provided radiology support for many sites, including but not limited to Barnes-Jewish Hospital, Washington University School of Medicine, Barnes West County, Missouri Baptist Medical Center, St. Louis Children’s Hospital, and Clinical Sciences Research. Support included access to multiple platforms including DEC/VMS, IBM AS/400, NT and Novell networks, XP Pro Desktop systems (using VNC and Active Directory). I was responsible for the initial processing of new user accounts as well as hardware and software purchases. I redesigned the forms used in this process incorporating an automated “response” to each requestor to reduce errors and speed up the process. I also designed and instituted a series of checks and balances to keep my section organized with regard to many other functions.

I was directly responsible to the City Attorney of the City of Deland, Florida (County Seat). Greetings from the Help Desk! During my time on the Help Desk, I was part of a team which prepared an RFP for a new Help Desk System and provided input for selecting the final software (SupportMagic™). I participated in the installation onto a SQL server and  I was lead on the team that implemented SupportMagic™.
