In 1978, Gwen and I skating the Easter Invitation in Hollywood, Florida. This has got to be one of the WORST skating poses ever taken of us! I was never all that pleased with the pale blue outfit, though it was appropriate for an Easter Meet. However, the photographer sucked! The sign on the wall is ugly and tacky (and crooked). He had us pose in an awkward position, and by the time he finally snapped the photo we were starting to droop. He obviously knew very little (if anything) about skating or he would never have had us pose in this grotesque open-hipped stance. Even our faces are looking in different directions, not to mention our skates pointing on different paths! Then there is the fact that we are blocking part of the sign, both with our heads, but also with big black shadows! Yep... it's an awful photo alright!
